CPD Penrhyndeudraeth welcome back three familiar and popular names

CPD Penrhyndeudraeth have welcomed the return of three popular players in recent times.
The North Wales Coast West Premier Division club re-signed Alun Hughes from Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs this week.
Hughes’ arrival follows the recent acquisition of Cian Pritchard from CPD Pwllheli and Harri Davies via Blaenau.
The 29-year-old Hughes left Penrhyndeudraeth at the end of last season and switched to fellow Tier 4 outfit Blaenau at the start of 2026-27. He made seven appearances for the Quarrymen, scoring once.
Hughes spent the previous three seasons at Penrhyn, featuring in 56 matches and notching 17 goals.
He also split his time in earlier campaigns between Maes-y-Parc and Cae Clyd.
CIAN PRITCHARD

Pritchard, 21, joined Pwllheli in December 2025 and went on to make 32 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals, including nine in his first eight games.
The forward began his senior career at Porthmadog, playing for the Traeth club in 2021-22 and 2022-23, making 78 appearances between the firsts and Development teams and bagging 11 goals.
His experience at Tier 2 Cymru North and T3 Ardal North West served him well when he moved to Nantlle Vale in 2023-24, scoring seven times in 37 matches.
Next came a switch to Penrhyndeudraeth in 2024-25, where Pritchard’s net-finding ability truly ignited.
In his debut season, he piled up a fantastic 26 goals in 27 appearances in the Tier 4 North Wales Coast West Premier, where he finished third top scorer. Over the campaign he hit 33 goals in the same number of matches across all competitions.
In his first eight games in a Penrhyn shirt he slammed in 14 goals, inclusing a double hat-trick versus Aberffraw.
Pritchard stood out for Penrhyn again in 2025-26, pocketing 18 goals in 17 appearances before Tier 3 Pwllheli signed him in the November.
The striker’s record for Penrhyndeudraeth is 52 goals in 52 games – no wonder they are pleased to sign him back!
Typically, he found the net in his first game back for Penrhyn – a 2-1 win over CPD Boded on October 17.
Senior career-wise, Pritchard has scored in total 86 times in 199 matches dating back to 2021-22, but over the two-season period 2024-25 and 2025-26, he amassed 66 goals.
HARRI DAVIES

Davies, 24, has a long association with Penrhyndeudraeth.
The defender made 138 appearances for the Maes-y-Parc club, dating back to 2022-23, before joining Blaenau Ffestiniog at the start of 2026-27. He played 11 matches for the Quarrymen, but returned to Penrhyn in October, scoring in his first game back – a 6-0 whipping of Llanystumdwy.
This quality back-line operator will have the 150 club appearances mark for Penrhyn in his sights.
