Jack is back home with CPD Pentraeth

Jack Walsh is back home.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who ended a four-year stint at Holyhead Hotspur yesterday, has re-signed for Tier 5 Pentraeth, where he began his senior career.
No settling-in period to get to know the manager will be necessary as the boss of the North Wales Coast West Division One club is Jack’s father Marv.
Jack emerged through the junior system at Anglesey-based Tynygongl FC before its merger with Pentraeth.
He made his debut for the Sky Blues at just 16 years old and in 2019-20, when Pentraeth were in Welsh Alliance Division Two, he made 26 appearances for the club, scoring three goals before stepping up to the Cymru North when football resumed after the pandemic in 2021-22 when he joined Bangor City.
Jack made five appearances for the Citizens before switching to Conwy Borough in January 2022. He featured in six Cymru North matches for the Tangerines before making the switch to Holyhead Hotspur at the start of 2022-23.
He went on to play 144 times for the Holy Island club, being a key part of their promotion-winning side back to Tier 2 in 2024-25.
CPD Pentraeth said today: “We’re delighted to announce that Jack Walsh is back with the Sky Blues!
“Jack is one of our own. He came through the junior system at Tynygongl FC, before the merger with Pentraeth, and made his first team debut for us at just 16 years old.
“At 18 he stepped up to the Cymru North with Bangor City, then had a short spell at Conwy Borough. He spent the last four seasons at Holyhead Hotspur, where he played 144 games. That’s several seasons in the second and third tiers of Welsh football.
“Now he’s bringing all that experience back to where it started.
“And there’s a lovely family twist: Jack will be playing under our first team manager, Marv… who happens to be his dad!”
