North East Wales Football League: Gr-eight showing from magical Mostyn
NORTH EAST WALES LEAGUE – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3
REPORT – DIVISION 3
Mostyn 8 Skippy 3
Mostyn continued the encouraging start to their league campaign by making it two wins out of two as they put eight past Skippy.
Dylan Ratcliffe led the way for the home side with a hat-trick, Luke Mantle and captain Morgan Evans added doubles, while Craig Morris also made the scoresheet.
Skippy were four-down at half time, but three goals in six minutes after the break from Luke Shepherd, David Hughes and Jason Ratcliffe brought some respectability to the scoreline.
Mostyn began their league fixtures with a 1-0 triumph at Wrexham Foresters on September 26.
Before that, the former Cymru Alliance club participated in six North East Wales Trophy League Phase games, winning two, drawing two and losing two. They went unbeaten in their first four encounters.
