New manager Danny Holmes’ debut game in charge of Flint brought that elusive first league victory of the season for the Silkmen at the 11th attempt.
After a goalless first half, Tunde Owolabi struck on 51 and 62 minutes to put the home side in command.
And the points were sealed when Lassana Mendes made it three with 73 on the clock.

Stunning win for the third-place Nomads who made it three league victories on the run.
It was a first home league defeat of the season for Barry, whose form has gone backwards after a flying start.
Jordan Hodkin and Harry Franklin scored two apiece for John Disney’s side, who were 4-0 up before James Lester nabbed a consolation for the hosts.

Caernarfon produced a magnificent late comeback to earn a draw at Met and make it five matches unbeaten in the top-flight.
Jasper Payne’s 13th minute strike edged the students in front before Jack Veale’s penalty on 64 doubled the lead.
Sub Osian Evans gave the Canaries hope with an 86th minute reply before league top-scorer Zack Clarke’s 11th goal of the season with 98 on the clock rescued an away point.
Holywell Town 1 Briton Ferry Llansawel 1
A hard-earned second point of the season for the Wellmen who remain winless after 11 matches.
Florian Yonsian’s fifth goal of the campaign on the half-hour from an Owen Davies assist edged Johnny Haseldin’s side in front.
Things looked even more promising for the hosts when Llansawel had captain Alex Gammond red-carded in the 34th minute.
But the 10 men fought back to equalise through Luke Bowen on 62 minutes and one-apiece is how it stayed.
Cambrian United 4 Llandudno 3
Despite a late rally which saw them turn a 4-0 deficit into single-goal arrears, Llandudno lost and are now without a win in four matches.
Liam Eason gave the hosts an early advantage before an Alex Bonthron treble had Cambrian four in front by the 47th minute.
Kieran Lloyd quickly pulled one back and Callum Stephens and Marc Williams also struck for the Seasiders with 10 minutes remaining, but there was to be no leveller.

A Liam Shephard own goal gave Airbus a 26th minute lead, but second-place Penybont rallied to score through Ryan Hill and Ethan Cann in the second half to snatch all three points.
