Green takes on Conwy Borough manager role
Conwy Borough have appointed Ronnie Green as their new first team manager and head coach.
Green replaces Simon Allen, who departed the Tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier Division club this week by mutual consent.
The new manager is an experienced and highly respected coach, bringing an excellent coaching background and a wealth of knowledge from across the Welsh and English football pyramid.
His previous roles include assistant-manager at Hednesford Town and, most recently, number two to Paul Moore at CPD Y Rhyl 1879. The pair led the Lilywhites to the Tier 3 Ardal North West title in 2024-25 and the Welsh Cup semi-finals last season.
Green has also managed at a good level in women’s football with Leek Town, Stockport County and Wrexham.
Conwy Borough report that Green has already taken his first training session with the squad, making an immediate and positive impact as preparations continue for the season ahead.
He will take charge of the team for the first time on Saturday, when Boro host CPD Cerrigydrudion at Y Morfa in the NWCFA Intermediate Challenge Cup.
A Conwy statement said: “We’re confident that Ronnie’s experience, coaching insight and leadership will provide a strong platform as we continue to develop and progress the first team.”
