North Wales Coast West League: Div One – Three in row for Holyhead Town and Mountain Rangers, Llangoed top

NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE- SEPTEMBER 19

DIVISION ONE

Holyhead Town 2 Amlwch Town 1

Holyhead maintained their 100 percent start to the league season with a third straight win.
Town knew a strong start would be key. In the fourth minute, a long-range effort from Kane Astles found its way past the keeper to give the hosts an early lead.
The Harbourmen continued to move the ball well, with Zack Haigh twice forcing keeper Jordan Edney into good saves.
Steve Driedyk also found space, but his attempt was again smartly kept out.
Astles and Eric Leach both went close to extending the lead, but Town couldn’t find a second until the 44th minute, when Mike Edwards curled a sublime effort into the top corner.
Half-Time: Holyhead Town 2–0 Amlwch Town
Following a strong first-half performance from Holyhead, Amlwch pulled a goal back within a minute of the restart. Declan Jones’ clearance caught the wind and looped to the back post, where Tomos Williams poked the ball home.
Amlwch grew in confidence and remained a threat throughout the second half, nearly equalizing in spectacular fashion if not for an acrobatic save by Steff Parry
Town stood firm under pressure to see out the win.

CPD Cefni 0 Bethesda Rovers 5

An emphatic away win for Rovers after three defeats on the spin.
Herbie Hofsteede’s goal was all that separated the sides at half time, but Pesda turned up the power in the second half, Jordan Pritchard (2, 1 pen), sub Ryan Roberts and Kieron Bullock adding to the scoresheet.

Llanfairpwll 4 CPD Caernarfon Borough 1

Daniel Burns (2), Jake Turnbull and sub Carwyn Roberts shared the goals as Llanfairpwll wrapped up the points at Maes Eilian, Ian Pleming replying for the visitors.

Llangoed & District 3 Glantraeth 2

Dylan Jones (2, 1 pen) and captain Mathew Owen delivered the goals which won the day for leaders Llangoed, Denvor Chigamba and TD Chigamba replying for Glantraeth, who had substitute Graham Jones red-carded in the 15th minute.

CPD Mountain Rangers 6 Caergybi 2

Dion Jones pocketed a hat-trick as Mountain Rangers made it three wins out of three at the expense of Caergybi.
Daniel Owen, Dion Griffiths and Cai Owen also found the net for the hosts, Jacob Owen and a Llion Hughes own goal providing the away responses.

CPD Pentraeth 2 CPD Deiniolen 1

Sub Cai Griffiths plundered an 85th minute winner for Pentraeth at Bryniau.
Marquis Holland handed the hosts an 18th minute lead, but Sion Foulkes levelled for Deiniolen close to half time.
It stayed at 1-1 until that late Griffiths decider, and to complete the visitors’ misery they had sub Arwyn Price red-carded deep into stoppage time.

PREMIER DIVISION

CPD Boded 4 Bontnewydd 0

Veteran Chris Jones made it eight goals in nine games this season with a double in third-place Boded’s cmofortable victory over Bontnewydd.
Josh Owen and Dylan Griffith added to the home side’s 2-0 interval lead with further second half goals.

CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 3 Llanrug United 2

Penrhyn fought back from two goals down to complete a thrilling triumph at Maes-y-Parc.
Kevin Lloyd and Josh Evans struck after five and 33 minutes respectively to pur Llanrug in seeming control, but Callum Jones pulled one back for the hosts on the stroke of half time.
Tom Hughes levelled on 50 minutes from the penalty spot, then Reece Evans produced a 77th minute winner.
Llanrug had Rhodri Campbell red-carded after the final whistle.
