Cemaes Bay 1 CPD Yr Wyddgrug 1 (Cemaes won 4-3 on penalties)

Cemaes keeper Connor Hughes must have broken some sort of record with his latest weekend heroics.
Hughes made a stunning FIVE penalty saves as Bay pipped Yr Wyddgrug 4-3 on spot kicks in Saturday’s FAW Amateur Trophy tie at School Lane.
Just a week earlier, Hughes had kept out THREE pens in the Anglesey side’s NWCFA Intermediate Challenge Cup victory at Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Has any goalkeeper in North Wales football ever saved EIGHT penalties in two back-to-back cup ties? Highly improbable.
In the game itself on Saturday, Leon Sumner gave North East Wales League side Wyddgrug a half-time lead, but Dafydd Rowlands made it 1-1 with 73 on the clock.
Cemaes won the shoot out 4-3, but visiting keeper Aidan Johnson produced some heroics of his own by saving two.
Hero Hughes is a former goalkeeper with Wrexham youth, as well as Holyhead Hotspur, Bodedern, Llanfairpwll, Valley and Glantraeth.

CPD Aberffraw 0 Knighton Town 7

Tier 3 visitors Knighton proved too strong on the day for an Aberffraw side which operates at a level below.
Luke Boundford (2), sub Louis Scott (2), Jack Hoyle, Jack Davies and Finley Williams shared the goals for the Ardal North East outfit.
Berffro had Dylan Williams dismissed for two yellow cards on 87 minutes, while home coach Dave Webster was red-carded after the final whistle.

Dolgellau AA 6 Tywyn Bryncrug 0

Captain Gerwyn Williams hit four goals for emphatic victors Dolgellau.
Williams made it nine goals in his last four games and 12 for the campaign with his quadruple, Osian Morris and sub Nyasha Mwamuka also on target.

CPD Rhos Aelwyd 3 Penmaenmawr Phoenix 3 (Rhos won 4-3 on penalties)

This all-Tier 3 clash saw Rhos progress on spot-kicks.
Scott Reeves scored a hat-trick for Aelwyd, Toby Jones (2, 1 pen) and James Hobson providing the goals for Pen in the match itself, which finished 3-3.

Saltney Town 4 Broughton United 2

Keiye Williams (2), Jack Radford and sub Jay Williams shared the goals which earned Tier 4 Saltney a win over T3 Broughton, Luke Muia and James Rutter (pen) replying.

CPD Cerrigydrudion 4 Bontnewydd 0

Comfortable for a Cerrig side whose goals were split between Tirion Griffiths, Cai Aykroyd, Tom Watkin-Jones and Rhidian Edwards.

Llysfaen 2 CPD Cefni 1

A fifth straight win for Llysfaen put them into the next round of the Trophy.
The ever-prolific Mike Chapman scored on 35 and 85 minutes for the North Wales Coast East Division One hosts, boosting his goals tally for the season to 19, while Lewis Owen responded for Cefni, who had Kieran Owen red-carded in the 89th minute.

Kerry 4 CPD Caerwys 0

Jamie Breese and Steffan Rogers delivered a double apiece for winners Kerry.

CPD Boded 2 Bethesda Rovers 1

Boded led 2-0 after 19 minutes through Jordan Taylor and Asa Thomas, but Jordan Pritchard converted a penalty for Rovers on the half-hour and that was the end of the scoring.

Llanidloes Town 3 CPD Llanystumdwy 0

Joshua Jones, Edward Clarke and sub Rhys Evans notched the goals which brought victory to the Daffs.

Rhostyllen 2 Llanfyllin Town 2 (Llanfyllin won on pens)

Cameron Thomas netted twice for Rhostyllen, but Llanfyllin hit back through William Davies and Owain Lloyd-Jones before the visitors progressed on spot-kicks.

Llanilar 3 CPD Llannefydd 3 (Llanilar won 4-3 on pens)

Disappointment for Tier 3 visitors Llannefydd as they crashed out on penalties at T4 Central Wales League South side Llanilar.
Osian Simpson-Jones (2) and Steffan Gillies made up the home scoresheet entries, while Ianto Price-Jones (2) and sub Ciran Jones brought the away side level in the tie.

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant 3 Hawarden Rangers 0

Iwan Matthews (2) and sub Robert Hughes supplied the goals which sent Llanrhaeadr into the next stage.

Pentwynmawr Athletic 3 Corwen 0

An unfairly long journey to Gwent ended in disappointment for Corwen as goals from Joel Thomas, Iwan Davies and sub Joshua Evans ensured Pentwynmawr advanced.

Llanfair United 0 Mochdre Sports 0 (Llanfair won 6-5 on penalties)

Tier 4 underdogs Mochdre held Ardal North East hosts Llanfair to 0-0 before the Powys side edged through on spot-kicks.

Llay Welfare 2 Menai Bridge Tigers 2 (Tigers won 5-3 on pens)

Giant-killing heroics from Tier 4 high-flyers Menai Bridge as they fought back from two-down to force a shoot-out against T3 Llay which the islanders won.
Jonathan Collo struck twice in the first half to put Ardal North West outfit Welfare in command, but Callum Graves (pen) and Jamie McDaid got Bridge back on terms in the second period.

FC Queens Park 9 Llanrwst United 4

Free-scoring Queens Park hit an astonishing nine against fellow Tier 3 opponents Llanrwst.
Mike Pritchard notched a treble, Matthew Worrall struck twice and there was a goal apiece from Corey Smart, Dan Parry, Nicky Williams (pen) and Ethan Simpson,
The Rwsters led 3-1 during the first half, but were pegged back to three-apiece by the break.
Park ran riot in the second half to seal an emphatic win.
Luke O’Mahoney (2), Macsen Rhys-Williams and Math Hughes were the Llanrwst marksmen.

Kinmel Bay 3 Penrhyndeudraeth 0

James Hay, Ste Kirk (pen) and Seydou Bamba produced the second half goals which put Kinmel Bay into the next stage. A full report appeared on Grassroots North Wales on Saturday evening.

Penycae 5 Chirk AAA 1

Zac Davies (3), Thomas Edwards (pen) and a Sam Nash own goal booked Penycae’s passage to the next round, Tom Freeman replying for the Colliers.

Prestatyn Town 2 St Asaph City 1

Tom Hilditch nabbed an 89th minute winner to earn Prestatyn victory in a tight Denbighshire derby,
Alex Jones put the Seasiders one-up after 23 minutes before Ellis Blench levelled on 74.

Barmouth and Dyffryn 3 CPD Pwllheli 6

Captain Josua Jones (2), Sion Roberts, Jack Jones, Owen Roberts and Cian Pritchard shared the six goals that brought Pwllheli joy at Wern Mynach.
The visitors did not have things all their own way, though, with Bermo leading 2-1 at half time and 3-2 in the second stanza before Pwll took control.
Joe Soar and Joey Thomas (2) kept the home side in the tie.

Cefn Albion 3 Llangollen Town 1

This all-Ardal North East tie went in Cefn’s favour.
Oliver Clowes nudged Llangollen in front a minute into the second half, but three goals in a nine-minute spell from Dion Gibbins, Callun Mannion and Thomas Broadhurst turned the tables.
Mannion supplied two assists and Broadhurst one.

Conwy Borough 2 Nefyn United 1

Good win for Tier 4 Conwy against third-tier opponents at Y Morfa.
Connor Morris netted after 30 minutes and Dion Jones made it 2-0 on the hour before Deion Jones grabbed a consolation for the Penwaig.

Berriew 0 Talysarn Celts 4

Thumping win for Talysarn in Powys, Jack Usher, Glyn Hughes-Thomas, Jake Thomas and sub Owain Glyn all finding the net in the second half.
