Amlwch Town have had a tough preseason ahead of their return to women’s league football in 2026-27 – but squad numbers are building and lessons are being learned.
Manager Andrew ‘Lefty’ Wright reports a squad of 21 players have sugned up so far, with one or two experienced additions still a possibility.
Amlwch took a break from football last season to regroup after many campaigns of competing in North Wales leagues.
Wright said: “Tough preseason on the pitch so far as we find our feet but very positive in recruitment and in training… we’re still in Silly Season and hoping to add one or two experienced players along the way… you win nothing in preseason, you just learn.
