A coach with vast experience of working in men’s and women’s football has joined up with CPD Pwllheli Ladies.
Andrew ‘Lefty’ Wright has been big asset to Amlwch Town over the years and is a big part of their club’s history.
He has been out of the game for some time, but having seen an advert for a ladies coach at the Rec, he felt it was too good an opportunity to turn down the challenge.
Pwllheli Ladies manager Erica Jones said: “As manager for the ladies I can’t wait to get working with Lefty.
“He will bring something new to the club and we are all excited to start the new chapter together.”
Lefty is well known for his past long association to Amlwch.
He was first team manager for the men’s side for five years before stepping down in summer 2018.
During the 2017-18 season, he picked up a Welsh Alliance Manager of the Month award.
He also did great work at Lon Bach in developing the women’s team.
Lefty has also done a prolific amount of fund-raising in the past – a good, all-round community person and a great character to have around.
