Maddock gives Albion cause to smile after difficult end to season

Dave Maddock

They may have had a major disappointment forced upon them last season but at least Llandudno Albion have ended up with something to smile about thanks to striker Dave Maddock.

Maddock was named Welsh Alliance League Division One Player of the Season this weekend.

The hard-working front man became Albion’s all-time top goal scorer at the start of 2019-20 and remains so with 81 goals to his credit. He was also the club’s leading marksman over the campaign with 15 goals.

Albion reached the national FAW Trophy Final, but the showpiece game never got to be played as the FAW cancelled all major cup competitions last month due to COVID-19.
