She’s back! Jess Jones returns to Llangefni Town!

Big news for North Wales women’s football – goal machine Jess Jones is returning to Llangefni Town.

The Ynys Môn team’s record-scorer with 83 goals from 51 appearances, the 20-year-old joined CPDM Bangor last season after a long injury lay-off,

She has now decided to return to the club where she carved out a reputation as one of North Wales’ most prolific goal-getters.

Hailing from Gwalchmai on Ynys Môn, Jess excelled with Caernarfon Town’s Under-16 side which reached the 2021-22 Welsh Cup semi-finals before making Llangefni Town her first senior team in 2022-23.

She netted 7 goals in 14 appearances in her first season, but in 2023-24 created a storm when she notched an amazing 52 goals in 22 matches.In 2024-25, troubled by a knee injury, she still managed 24 goals in 15 games.

The young star also made a major impact for Ynys Môn in the 2023 International Island Games in Guernsey.

However, her knee injury kept her out of the 2025 Games in Orkney.

Jess was part of the Llangefni Town side which won the 2023-24 Betty Pickering Cup and twice finished runners-up in North East Wales Women’s League West.

She now rejoins a team which was crowned North Wales Coast Women’s League champions last season and will be going for back-to-back titles in 2026-27.
