Trearddur Bay striker Jess Woods has tonight been added to the Ynys Môn women’s football squad for the 2025 Orkney International Island Games.

Woods replaces Llangefni Town forward Jess Jones, who unfortunately will miss the Games as she is recovering from major knee surgery.

The 20-year-old Woods, who hails from Doncaster, signed for Trearddur Bay this season after moving to Anglesey and scored a sensational 16 goals in 12 matches.

She found the net on her debut – in a 3-2 win over Caernarfon Town – and bagged 10 goals in her first five games, including five versus Welshpool Town and a hat-trick in another meeting with the Cofis.

She ended the season on fire, delivering a double in a 2-2 draw with West Division champions Pwllheli and a treble in a 3-1 victory over Amlwch Town.

Woods is the only Trearddur Bay player in the 19-strong squad, made up otherwise of eight from CPDM Bangor, six representing Llangefni and one each from CPDM Y Felinheli, Huddersfield Town, Blackburn Rovers and Pontypridd United.
