It all starts tomorrow for the men’s and women’s football teams representing Ynys Môn at Orkney 2025 – the 20th International Island Games.

The men will be aiming to go one better than 2023 in Guernsey, when they won the silver medal, while the women will target an improvement on their excellent fifth place of two years ago.

Both Môn sides are in three-team groups, which means each will play two matches in their bids to reach the semi-finals.

The men will take on Bermuda, who they beat 2-0 in the semi-finals in 2023, and Western Isles.

Môn women are paired with Western Isles, to whom they lost 6-1 in a group opener in Guernsey, and the Norwegian island of Hitra.
