After a blistering start to life at Bangor City 1876 young striker Sam Parry has signed a two-year deal with the club.
The 18-year-old, who arrived at Bangor City Stadium from Llandudno in the summer, has netted in each of his last three games for the Cymru North Citizens.
After excelling in academy football for Caernarfon Town Under-12s and U14s, and then for Colwyn Bay U15s and U16s, Sam made his senior debut for Bay U21s back in August 2024, scoring in a 4-3 win over Llanrwst in FAW Reserve League North West.
He was soon snapped up by Ardal North West club Conwy Borough, where he scored once in three outings, before rejoining Bay U21s, and hitting 17 goals in 17 matches prior to joining Llandudno Under-18s/Reserves in October 2025.
Sam pocketed a hat-trick on his Tudno bow (against Colwyn Bay U21s!) and went on to amass 29 goals in 17 matches before securing a debut for the Seasiders’ first team as a substitute in a 1-0 success at Caersws.
He then added another nine goals in five games for Llandudno U18/Reserves/Development
That made it 41 goals for the 2025-26 campaign for Sam, who finished as the fourth highest marksman in the whole of North Wales senior football.
Bangor City 1876 moved rapidly to sign Sam for the current season and he was soon on fire, notching seven goals in his first three outings for the U21s, including five in a 7-0 drubbing of NFA.Under-21s.
At the end of September, Sam bagged seven for the U21s in an 8-2 beating of Holywell Town Development – it was now time for some first team experience.
Since August, Sam has featured regularly in Bangor City 1876 first team squads.
He made his senior team debut in a 3-1 NWCFA Challenge Cup victory over NFA. Then came an opportunity to make an impact in the Cymru North at Caersws on October 31.
Within seven minutes of coming on as a substitute, Parry struck to give Bangor a 1-0 lead.
Unfortunately for the Citizens, it was not a fairytale winning goal from the teenager as the Bluebirds levelled late on to grab a point.
Parry made his first start for City on Tuesday in a NWCFA Challenge Cup tie at former club Llandudno and grabbed the opening goal after just 10 minutes.
Once more, the night ended in disappointment for Bangor, who held the Cymru Premier hosts 3-3 over 90 minutes. only to exit the competition on penalties.
However, it was a happy occasion on Friday, when Sam found the net again in a thumping 9-0 victory over Gresford Athletic in the Cymru North.
