CPDM Y Felinheli add experienced name to management team
CPDM Y Felinheli have strengthened their coaching team with a name well known in Adran North circles.
Aron Griffith spent five seasons on the management team at CPDM Bangor before stepping down this summer.
He now joins the Felinheli set-up, where he will work alongside Aaron Jones-Evans and Llio Emyr.
Griffith was part of a three-person management team when CPDM Bangor 1876 were formed at the start of 2021-22, working alongside Andrew ‘Lefty’ Wright and Lois Regan.
Bangor finished league runners-up behind CPD Y Rhyl 1879 that season, but went one better in the 2022-23 campaign, winning the North Wales Women’s League in a canter with 20 wins and two draw uin 22 unbeaten matches, scoring 120 goals and conceding just 8.
Life has proved much tougher in Tier 2 Adran North, Bangor finishing seventh out of eight in both 2023-24 and 2024-25 and then bottom of seven last season.
A Felinheli statement said: “We are extremely happy and pleased to welcome Aron Griffith to Felinheli. Aron will join the club’s coaching team for the season ahead.
“Aron has plenty of experience in managing and coaching in the Adran North and we cannot wait to get started and to begin working together.”
