Jay Roberts has made a swift return to CPD Llangoed.
The 21-year-old left the Ynys Môn club late last season to take up the manager’s post at CPD Mynydd Llandegai.
The plan was for Roberts to work alongside in situ Llandegai managers Huw Davies and Phil Thomas until that long-serving pair left at the end of the season.
Roberts would then take sole charge. But he resigned in June, citing frustration over the lack of confidence in his appointment and the fact key players had left the Tier 4 North Wales Coast Premier Division club.
However, Roberts is now back at Llangoed, where he previously had a productive two years in charge, guiding them from the bottom of North Wales Coast West Division One to challenging near the summit.
Roberts will form part of the management team, working alongside current boss Vinny Walker.
