North Wales women’s all-time club XIs: No 5 – Flint Town United

Flint Town United Ladies All-Time XI
This team only formed in 2022-23, but we’ve still seen enough players involved to make an interesting case for their all-time best XI.
Becky Bott

Great shot-stopper and a very brave goalkeeper who has made 65 appearances for Flint since the team was formed in 2022-23.
Was outstanding in the 2023-24 North Wales League play-off final against Pwllheli.
Kept seven clean sheets in 12 games when Flint won the 2023-24 North Wales League East title with a perfect undefeated record.
Taylia Chaloner

Attacking right-back who gets increasingly better each season.
With 67 appearances on her record, tenacious Tayls is one of the most consistent players in the squad.
Was named in the 2024-25 Genero Adran North Team of the Season.
Chloe Hughes

Consistent and lively left-back was the first player to 50 appearances for the club and is now on 68.
Speed is a great asset- a legacy of her athletics days.
Shona Roberts

Rock-solid defender who joined Flint in December 2024 and has now made 28 appearances for the club, notching three goals.
Having won the Adran North with Llandudno and also represented CPDM Y Felinheli, this 25-year-old has delivered invaluable experience to the Flint squad.
Emily Edwards

Played just the one season at Flint – the 2023-24 campaign where the Silkwomen were crowned North Wales Women’s League East champions with an impeccable record of 12 straight wins.
Made 14 appearances in all competitions that season and was a standout due to her strong tackling at centre back coupled with ball skills. Also previously at Holywell.
Ruby McGilloway

The heartbeat of the Flint midfield and not at all slow!
Captained the invincibles to the title having joined the club at the start of 2023-24 after spells with NFA and Holywell.
Has 52 appearances and 10 goals on her record and is part of a great midfield unit which includes player-manager Becca Eagles and Rosie Hughes.
Rosie Hughes

Holds the club’s appearances and goals record – 44 goals in 72 games.
Was named 2025-26 Genero Adran North Player of the Season and also made the league’s Team of the Season.
Lightning quick ball player in the centre or on the wings.
Daisy Hughes

Left-winger with 62 appearances and 15 goals on her slate.
Pacy, good on the ball, has fine passing ability and is very much a team player.
Ruby Hastings

Right-winger whose pace, passing and crossing ability so often make her a standout performer in black and white or teal.
Scored in the 2023-24 North Wales League promotion play-off final.
Recently passed the 50-appearances mark for the Silkwomen, having notched 17 goals.
Zoe Stopford

Second highest scorer in the team with 42 goals from just 41 appearances.
Sadly has not played since suffering a serious knee injury in November.
The most natural goalscorer to represent the team, she hit 26 goals in her first 16 matches in 2023-24. Also been a consistent scorer for Rhyl. Holywell and NFA.
Beth Roberts

Flint were delighted to get her on board for the 2025-26 season after Beth scored 53 goals from a mere 19 appearances in a CPDM Henllan shirt the previous campaign.
Did not produce as many goals for Flint at the next level up, but still shone like a beacon with her all-round forward play which won her huge admiration. Scored what could rank as the team’s greatest ever goal in a 4-0 win over Bangor at the Essity.
