Promoted Kinmel Bay’s new manager has a great track record in Tier 3
New league, new management team for Kinmel Bay.
Ally Stubbs will lead the Morfa club this season following its promotion to Tier 3 Ardal North West.
The new first team manager is best known for his stint in charge of CPD Llannefydd, where he established the villagers as a third-tier force.
Stubbs will be assisted by Scott Carey, Ken Williams and Alex Craig, who has already spent a number of years in the management set-up.
Leon Field steps down from the management team, but as vice-chairman will continue to work in the club’s best interests on and off the field alongside Frank Standing and Naomii Oakley.
Also from last season’s managerial group, Andy Thomas has taken a step back due to work commitments.
New face at the helm, Stubbs, said: “I’m absolutely delighted and honoured to be appointed as First Team Manager of Kinmel Bay. It’s all happened very quickly, but after a short spell away from the game at the end of last season, I was ready to return if the right opportunity came along. As soon as I met with Leon and Del earlier this week, it was clear that this is an ambitious football club with a real vision for the future.
“Everyone at the club is excited about the challenge of competing in Tier 3, and it’s easy to see why. There are some really positive developments happening off the pitch, and I’m looking forward to building on last season’s success by helping move things forward on it.
“The club already has a strong group of players who achieved a great deal last season, and I’m excited to start working with them. There’s a fantastic structure in place behind the scenes, and that gives everyone the opportunity to keep pushing the club in the right direction.
“I can’t wait to get started, meet the supporters, and do everything I can to help bring continued success to Kinmel Bay.”
Vice-chairman Field added: “We are delighted to bring in a manager of Ally’s qualities. He’s been involved in Tier 3 for a number of years now, so he fully understands the model of what’s required to build and sustain success at this level.
“His due diligence and the level of preparation he demonstrated throughout the interview process were exceptional and played a huge part in us making an instant decision on the night.
