Welcome aboard Bangor City 1876 Women!

Clwb Pêl-droed Merched Bangor now comes under the Bangor City 1876 umbrella – and that’s official.
Following a successful application to the Football Association of Wales, Clwb Pêl-droed Merched Bangor will now be known as Bangor City 1876 Women
A statement from Bangor City 1876 said: “This exciting development represents a significant step forward in the continued growth and development of football within the club and the local community.
“By bringing the women’s team fully into the Bangor City 1876 family, the club aims to strengthen opportunities for players, coaches, and supporters while creating a clear pathway for women’s and girls’ football in the region.
“The move reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, development, and providing opportunities for all, both on and off the pitch. It also reinforces Bangor City 1876’s vision of fostering a strong community spirit, bringing people together through football and ensuring the club continues to serve as a positive force within the area.
“Everyone at Bangor City 1876 looks forward to supporting the continued success and growth of Bangor City 1876 Women and welcoming them as a fully integrated part of the club.”
CPDM Bangor have spent the past three seasons in the Tier 2 Genero Adran North, having been promoted after winning the North Wales Women’s League in 2022-23.
The team first emerged in 2021-22 as a continuation of the Bangor City Women team which had run for several years previously.
