Lots going on at Holyhead Town, including an image change!
The North Wales Coast West Division One club have launched a new crest it hopes will be popular with supporters.
The Ynys Môn club turned 100-years-old last season and thought it would be an opportune time to introduce a new badge.
On its social media, the club stated: “Following last season’s historic centenary anniversary, we feel this is the perfect time to begin an exciting new chapter in the Harbourmen’s history.
“To mark this milestone, Holyhead Town FC is delighted to reveal our brand-new club crest.
“Representing both our rich heritage and our future ambitions, the new crest will take pride of place on our upcoming home kit and official club tracksuits, both of which will be officially revealed in the coming weeks.
“Our new club crest has been designed to represent our proud links to the port, maritime heritage and proud committee spirit.”
Holyhead Town has a very proud history. In the 1950s and 60s they were one of the premier clubs along the North Wales coast, winning endless silverware.
These days they compete in Tier 5 of the North Wales pyramid, but the ambition is to push for higher levels in the coming years.
Last season was made more special after the club lifted the Menai Tractors Cup, competed for within their West division.
