Happy birthday to Kinmel Bay FC’s ‘machine’ – Tasha Standing!

Tasha takes a corner

Happy birthday to Natasha Standing, a Kinmel Bay player who has been a massive presence in the team since their return to competitive Sunday football three years ago.

Born on June 5, 1988, Tasha is a central figure in an ever-improving Bay side which finished runners-up in the North Wales Coast Women’s League this season.

Beaten just twice over the campaign, on both occasions by mighty champions Llangefni Town, the Morfa side won 13 of their 16 matches and were league top-scorers with 70 goals.

Tasha ended the season on a real high by scoring twice in a 5-2 victory over Trearddur Bay. That took her record over the past three campaigns to six goals in 42 appearances.

Alongside fellow Bay stalwarts like Seren Williams, Georgia Williams and Jen Small, Tasha’s experience has proved an immense asset to the team.

This is how manager Naomii Oakley describes today’s birthday girl: “Tash is the machine of our team and absolute engine. She’s never scared of a tackle, delivers unbelievable corners (she scored twice this season directly from a corner).

“Her football brain and experience is what every manager wants in a team. She’s also our vice-captain.”

After her outstanding display in that final match of 2025-26 against Trearddur Bay, the following was said about Natasha.

“Just want to give a special mention today to @⁨Tasha KBFC⁩ the machine of the team, who played a part in all 5 goals.

“Scoring two herself, putting an awesome corner in for the 3rd, a throw in to Scarlet to cross the ball in for the 4th and the link up play to Jess before the cross for the 5th 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Absolutely brilliant.”
