The curtain came down on the 2025-26 North Wales Coast East League season on Wednesday night with a Premier Division local derby at The Flyover.
Visitors Mochdre Sports were out for revenge, having lost 3-1 at home to Junction way back in August.
And it was Sports’ night, although they had to recover from going an early goal down to take the points.
Junction struck first in just the fourth minute when Gregory Hall found the back of the net.
The away side levelled on 17 when Scott Roberts provided the assist for Rees Brown to make it 1-1.
The winner did not arrive until the 76th minute, Brown this time the supplier as sub Leon Hender bagged his seventh club goal of the season.
Already assured of fourth place before Wednesday evening, Mochdre made it eight wins in their last 10 outings, while the Railwaymen end the season on a run of five straight defeats and finish seventh in the standings.
Great to see veteran Paul Cassidy in action for Junction – his first appearance since November. What a top player he has been in North Wales football over the years.
This fixture due to be played in the first phase of the season was finally completed on Wednesday.
Llanrwst won convincingly, four of their seven goals delivered by substitutes – Dylan Roberts 2, Cameron Jones and Osian Ratcliffe. Also on the mark for the Conwy Valley hosts were Riley Thomas, Cian Hughes and Sam Thomas.
All this after NFA had taken a seventh-minute lead through Dominic Liepens.
