An afternoon to forget for North Wales as their hopes of representing the country further in the UEFA Regions Cup nosedived at Airbus.

Trailing 2-1 from the first leg, Tim Rhanbarthol y Gogledd slumped 4-0 at home to South Wales in the second leg of their Regions Cup tie.

Caerau Ely’s Liam Bishop opened the scoring on 11 minutes before Ethan Edwards of Pontypridd United delivered a double with goals after 22 and 41 to effectively put the north out of the argument by half time.

Oliver Redhead of Caerau Ely added a fourth in the 55th minute to well and truly kill off the contest.

Tim Rhanbarthol y De’s afternoon was slightly tarnished for a 90th minute red card for sub Jack Bevan of Llantwit Major.

South Wales’ success confirmed their place as Tîm Rhanbarthol Cymru’s representatives in the UEFA Regions’ Cup Intermediate Round.
