Nefyn United closed the gap at the top of the table on Tuesday night, overcoming a stubborn Bontnewydd resistance with a second-half offensive masterclass.

After a goalless opening 45 minutes, a series of inspired tactical changes turned a stalemate into 3 points.

The first half was a war of attrition. A determined Bontnewydd side arrived at Cae’r Delyn with a clear plan to frustrate, and for 45 minutes, they succeeded. Nefyn controlled the ball but lacked the final incisive touch, heading into the interval at 0-0.

The match was won in the dugout at half-time. The introduction of Steffan Toplis and Arwel Huws completely altered the geometry of the game.
