FAW AMATEUR TROPHY FINAL PREVIEW: Can Dinas Bangor City 1876 win their second silverware of 2025-26?

For the seventh successive season a new name will be etched onto the FAW Amateur Trophy on Saturday.

The question is, who will follow recent first-timers Conwy Borough, Cefn Albion, Mold Alexandra, Trethomas Bluebirds, Newport City and Port Talbot Town….CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 or Pontardawe Town?

Saturday’s all-Tier 3 final at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth, will see Ardal North West champions 1876 clash with Ardal South West high-flyers Pontardawe from the Swansea area. Kick-off is 12.30 pm.

This will be Bangor’s first FAW Trophy final, while Pont were runners-up in the national knockout in 2018-19.

There has been no North Wales winner of the Trophy over the past three seasons. Time that changed as we’d won 9 of the previous 11!
