Semi-final venue decided for FAW Amateur Trophy clash of Bangor City 1876 and Pen Phoenix

The venues have been confirmed for this season’s Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy Semi-Finals, both taking place at 14:00 on Saturday 21 March.

In North Wales, two tier three Ardal North West sides face off, with Penmaenmawr Phoenix taking on CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 at the Blue Turtle Arena in Colwyn Bay.

Bangor City 1876 who are the highest ranked team in the competition are currently top of the Ardal North West and also reached the semi-finals of the JD Welsh Cup.

Their opposition Penmaenmawr Phoenix defeated Rhuddlan Town, Waterloo Rovers, NFA, Conwy Borough, Mumbles Rangers and Llannefydd en route to Colwyn Bay. The two sides last met in November in a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Ardal North West.

In the other semi, the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, fourth tier Porthcawl Town Athletic will meet Pontardawe Town of the Ardal South West at Victoria Road in Port Talbot.

Tickets for both semi-finals will be available to buy on the gate, costing £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
