Victory for Porthmadog at Mynydd Isa this Saturday will guarantee Chris Jones’ side a place in the play-off offering the prize of Cymru North football next season.
Port set themselves up for such a scenario following Wednesday’s 3-0 win at Felinheli, where the final scoreline did not tell the full story.
In the first half, Port started very much on the front foot and had their names on the scoresheet within the first two minutes. Osian Evans burst down the left wing and squared to Danny Brookwell, who from inside the penalty area finished confidently into the corner past keeper Keirion Mansell.
Brookwell was busy and lively throughout his time on the pitch, repeatedly threatening Felinheli’s back line with strong runs, and he fired another powerful effort just past the post before having to leave the field with what looked like a hamstring injury.
By the middle of the first half, the match had turned into a fast, physical battle in midfield with firm but fair tackling.
Clear chances were few before the break, but a free kick from Rhys Alun did force a save from Mansell.
At the start of the second half, Felinheli’s forwards increased the pressure and should have done better with a close range header.
Then, on the hour, came an almighty scramble in the Felin six‑yard box, but somehow the visitors didn’t score.
It remained tight at 1-0 before that second away goal finally arrived on 90 minutes, It all began with Caio Evans, whose cross was expertly headed down by Jonny Bravo, and there was Ryan Williams to volley home past Mansell,
Soon after, the energetic Osian Evans was tripped as he ran through on goal. Evans converted the resultant penalty. Felin were down to 10 men for the last 20 minutes when a hamstring injuryforced a withdrawal after the hosts had already used all five substitutes.

CPD Llannefydd 5 St Asaph City 1

Tomos Salisbury was on target twice as Llannefydd completed an 11th straight league victory which kept alive their outside hopes of nabbing second-place.
Gwion Owen, Ciran Jones and captain Tom Jones added singles for the home team, while Josh Brown replied with a penalty for Saints, who had Harvey Gordon red-carded on 70 minutes.

Llay Welfare 4 Mynydd Isa 1

Scott Swords, Lewis Fearns, Dean Bryan and sub Harry Roberts notched a goal apiece for Llay, James Beck with a consolation for Mynydd Isa.

Trearddur Bay 5 Llanrwst United 2

Trailing 2-1 early in the second half, Trearddur Bay rallied to claim just a second win in 11 league outings.
Callum Parry edged the Rwsters ahead on 34 minutes, but Bay top-scorer Tom Hilditch levelled after 39.
Luke O’Mahoney restored the Conwy Valley side’s lead four minutes into the second half, and nothing changed until 79 had gone, James Leatherbarrow equalising.
Bay produced a big finish, Sol Williams making it 3-2 before Hilditch delivered his second of the night and 34th of the season. Kaine Bentley rounded off the goal action in added time.

Corwen 0 Llangollen Town 3

Paige Wilding was on the mark twice as Llangollen celebrated their eighth win in 12 starts – quite an improvement on their earlier record of one victory in the opening 16 games.
Wilding netted on 64 and 77 after Aaron Jones had given the visitors a 33rd minute lead at the War Memorial Ground.
It was a fine effort from Town, who had played with 10 men since the 31st minute when William Cooke was shown a red card.

Dolgellau AA 0 Llanfair United 1

Sub Nyasha Mwamuka bagged the only goal of the game on 76 minutes for visitors Llanfair.

Knighton Town 1 Builth Wells 1

Third-place Knighton dropped more vital points at home to one-from-bottom Builth Wells.
Dewi Allen opened the scoring for the hosts on 35 minutes, but an Alex Hicks leveller close to half time was enough to earn a draw for the visitors.

Lex XI 1 Cefn Albion 7

Lex have one last chance to claim a league win this season when they host Corwen this Saturday.
Rock bottom with four draws and 25 losses in 29 matches, the Lawmen were heavily beaten on Wednesday by a Cefn Albion outfit which made it four unbeaten in the league – three of them wins.
Scorers for sixth-place Albion were: Alex Williams (3), Thomas Broadhurst (2), Kien Morris and Edgar Lima Teixeira, the hosts grabbing a consolation when 3-0 down close to the interval.
