Title glory once more for FC Queen’s Park – now they have a quadruple in their sights!

Meet the champions! ALL PICTURES: NICKI BEECH – many thanks

Success is never far away for Wrexham club FC Queen’s Park.

Since forming under its current name in 2013, silverware has become a regular reward for on-field endeavours.

On Saturday, Arran Taylor’s side were crowned champions of North East Wales League Division 1 with two games to spare.

A 7-2 triumph at Rhydymwyn was their 15th straight league win dating back to October 2025.

The Park are also on a winning run of 21 matches in all competitions.

The club could yet end the season with a quadruple, having reached the finals of the Horace Wynne Cup and Premier Cup, as well as making it to the last 8 of the NEWFA Senior Challenge Cup.

Since beginning their winning streak in the league last October, the Park have not just beaten their opponents, they have often thrashed them out of sight.

After taking a modest 5 points from their opening 5 matches, they have picked up a maximum 45 from the last 15 encounters. That has proved enough to earn them another league title – a fifth in 13 years.

The Park were three-up at Rhydymwyn by half time, Dan Parry, Ethan Simpson and top-scorer Mike Latham on target.

Rhys Parry pulled one back for Rhyd on the hour, but Sam Molyneux made it 4-1 before home team captain Will Leonard halved the arrears.

However, Simpson and Latham both completed doubles before the latter was red-carded in the 80th minute. Ben White added a seventh, making it 73 goals for the Park in their 15 successive victories sequence.

The Queens are the Kings again!
