Kirstie Kural could be heading for an all-time goalscoring record

Kirstie Kural of Wrexham Foresters has now scored more goals in a season than anyone else in North Wales women’s football since 2011-12.

Not since Lowri Edwards of Wrexham Ladies netted 65 goals some 14 seasons ago has a senior women’s player in North Wales bagged as many as Kural’s current total of 56.

With five league games still remaining for the Foresters, current leaders of the Central Wales North Ladies League, the England Futsal international is very likely to beat Edwards’ figure.

As Grassroots North Wales only started keeping detailed lists of women’s goals in 2016-17, we have no clue as to what the all-time record is.

However, it would be no surprise if Kural, whose 56 goals have come in just 14 matches (44 league, 12 cups), did set a new all-time record by the completion of 2025-26. It’s just that if she does, we won’t know it officially.

She currently averages four goals a game, so if she plays in all remaining fixtures and maintains that rate, she could end up with 76/

Here is the latest Goalden Girl table in the 2025-26 season (up to and inc April 17, 2026. League and Cup goals – senior football only. Recreational leagues and goals scored for junior/youth/U19 sides not included)
