Meet the Adran Leagues Golden Boot Queens – Katie Barker and Ella Jones!

ADRAN PREMIER TOP SCORER: Katie Barker (Wrexham) 25 goals

Record-breaking Wrexham AFC Women striker Katie Barker is the runaway winner of the 2025-26 Genero Adran Premier Golden Boot.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Red Dragons last summer after establishing herself as WSL 2 club Newcastle United’s all-time highest markswoman, bagged a sensational 25 goals in 20 matches for the new Adran Premier champions.

In reaching 18 goals, she set a new biggest individual total in a single season in the division’s history, eclipsing Eliza Collie of Cardiff City’s 17 in 2023-24.

Barker ended the campaign with an awesome fresh league record 25 goals which will take some beating. After hitting 15 goals in 14 first phase matches, Barker amassed a stunning 10 in six games in the Championship round to guide Wrexham to their first top flight title.

Newcastle’s record scorer with 67 goals, she helped the Magpies to successive promotions from Tier 4 to 2, having become a full-time professional in June 2023.

Barker moved to Wrexham with fellow Newcastle player Jodie Bartle last summer, the pair signing full-time deals until the end of 2026-27.

ADRAN NORTH TOP SCORER: Ella Jones (Connah’s Quay Nomads) 20 goals

Four-time Adran North title winner Ella Jones of Connah’s Quay Nomads has landed the division’s Golden Boot for 2025-26.

Despite missing the last three games of the season through injury, the 21-year-old managed to hit an amazing 20 goals in just nine matches, making her far and away the Tier 2 division’s top scorer.

Jones won the Adran North title with Llandudno in 2021-22 and 2023-24 and has done the same at Nomads in 2024-25 and 2025-26.

During the past season, she became only the second player to reach 50 goals in Adran North (Llandudno’s Maddie Williams has since become the third).

Ella’s total of 51 makes her Adran North’s second-highest net-finder in the division’s history.

She hopes to be fit for Nomads’ Adran Premier Play-Off Final against South champions Cardiff Met on April 26.
