LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST – REPORTS, TUESDAY APRIL 7

Porthmadog 1 (C Jones 78)
CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 4 (Creamer 10, Clarke 17, McGonigle 42, McManus 87)

One more win from their remaining four matches will guarantee Bangor City 1876 the 2025-26 Ardal North West title.

Michael Johnston’s side stretched their lead at the summit to 13 points with an emphatic 4-1 victory at second-place Porthmadog on Tuesday evening.

The visitors broke the deadlock on 10 minutes through Tommy Creamer.

The last time Creamer played against Port, he netted two long-range stunners four minutes apart. On this occasion, the attacking midfielder struck with his head at the far post from a brilliant Josh Carey cross.

In the 17th minute, the away side doubled their lead when Cai Owen found captain Tom Clarke, who nodded home his sixth of the season.

Port rallied, but found the Citizens defence in fine form. Then three minutes before half time, Corrig McGonigle made the scoresheet for the fifth successive match with his 41st goal of the campaign.

The second half was scoreless until Cai Jones pulled one back for Port on 78, but City had the last word when Declan McManus made it 17 goals in 14 games after Jamie Reed provided the assist.

Connah’s Quay Town 1 (Gomez 11)
Llay Welfare 2 (Collo 8, Fearns 49)

Goals from Jonathan Collo and Lewis Fearns earned Welfare their first win in six matches.

Collo made it 1-0 after eight minutes with his 19th goal of the season, but Town were soon back on terms through Pascal Gomez, Harry Brown assisting.

Four minutes into the second half, Charlie Cottis provided the assist for Fearns to pocket the winner, stretching Quay’s winless run to 13 league games.
