A biggest league win of the season for Bala has given them a fighting chance of escaping relegation in the final round of matches.
Today’s five-goal raid at already doomed Llanelli has put the 11th placed Lakesiders two points behind Flint Town United in 10th.
If Bala are victorious their final league test at home to Briton Ferry Llansawel on Saturday, April 18, and Flint fail to win at Cardiff Met on the same day, then the Maes Tegid side will stay up against the odds and the Silkmen will go down.
Bala came out strongly at Stebonheath Park, Cameron Ferguson scoring for the fourth successive game on 11 minutes before captain Ross White added a second after 26.
After the break, a double from Australian Jacob Tarasenko and a Sam Billington single put the visitors out of sight.
That margin of victory did the wonder of good for Bala’s goal difference, which might be the factor that ends up saving them.

Since reaching the Welsh Cup final on March 7, Flint have not managed a single league win in four starts.
Things got bleaker for them on Saturday when they crashed 1-0 at home to Haverfordwest.
The Silkmen now need to win at Cardiff Met on April 18 to guarantee safety, Any other outcome and Flint will be relegated – but only if Bala win their last game at home to Briton Ferry Llansawel.

Caernarfon will welcome an end to a run of three consecutive losses with a Welsh Cup final date against Flint on the horizon.
