While rivals are grinding out narrow results, Nefyn United are operating on a different level. Eight goals, another clean sheet, and a devastating spread of talent across the pitch – this was a clinical exhibition of attacking depth.
THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE
8 Goals Scored: Clinical, ruthless, and relentless.
0 Goals Conceded: The defensive rampart remains unbreeched for the 7th consecutive league game.
9 Goal Contributors: From the goalkeeper to the frontline, every man in a Nefyn shirt is a threat.
THE HEADLINES
Steffan Toplis: The January “Sensation” is no longer a prospect—he is a nightmare for every defender in this league. 2 goals, 2 assists. Absolute class.
Noa Griffith: Griffith took possession near the halfway line and drove directly at the heart of the Llannerchymedd defence, twisting and turning his markers into submission before slotting home.
Tomi Jones Evans: Another goal (24) and assist (11) to continue his fine season as a dual threat attacker
The Fullback Threat: Jake Jones (RB) opened his account with a long-range effort, while Tomos Huw Davies (LB) further cemented his status as the league’s premier dual-threat defender with a goal and an assist.
Alex Ward Jones: Even with the game played almost entirely in the opposition half, the Nefyn keeper maintained his focus to provide another vital assist, proving that the attack starts from the very back.
A CPD Nefyn statement said: “This wasn’t just a match; it was a masterclass. They aren’t just chasing points—they are demanding dominance.
“The gap is closing, the goal-difference is skyrocketing, and the momentum is firmly with the Penwaig.”
This was Nefyn’s seventh league win on the bounce and the eight goals came from seven different scorers – Steffan Toplis (2), Rhys Williams, Tomos Huw Davies, Ifan Jones, Jake Jones, Noa Griffith and Tomi Evans.
The Penwaig are up to second in the Premier, three points behind leaders Menai Bridge Tigers with two games in hand.
