LATEST: FAW Trophy quarter-final rearranged for Wednesday

The Dragon Signs FAW Amateur Trophy quarter-final between CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 and Llangefni Town has been rearranged for this Wednesday night, February 25, kick off 7.30 pm at Bangor City Stadium.

The tie was down to take place on Friday, February 20, but got called off due to the condition of the Nantporth pitch following incessant rain.

Just one Trophy quarter-final game was completed at the weekend, Pontardawe Town edging past Prestatyn Town 4-3 in South Wales.

As well as Bangor City 1876 v Llangefni being cancelled, the Bridgend Street v Porthcawl Town Athletic tussle also fell victim to the weather and that one is now scheduled to be played this Saturday, February 28.

The other all-North Wales last eight tie between Penmaenmawr Phoenix and CPD Llannefydd was abandoned in the second half on Saturday as the Cae Sling pitch had become a quagmire.

Llangefni Town were set to visit Trearddur Bay for an Ardal North West league game on Wednesday, but the FAW Amateur Trophy takes precedence, says the FAW.
