Two-goal star Awel Ellis

Eight-goal Pwllheli set up a meeting with NFA in the league cup final after a convincing away win in their semi at St Asaph Leisure Centre on Sunday.

The visitors were 4-0 up at half time with Awel Ellis striking twice, while Lois Thomas found the net with her ninth goal of the season and provided an assist for Hayley Rees-Williams to score.

Early in the second half, Stacey Sansome grabbed a quick double to put the Llŷn Peninsula side totally out of sight.

Rees-Williams and an Abby Cattell own goal rounded off the scoring.

Despite struggling for players, Henllan gave it everything and created a few chances to score, but Sara Williams in the away goal would not be beaten.

NFA 3 Denbigh Town 0

Sub Loz Jones scored twice in the closing stages to send NFA through to the final.

Denbigh produced a strong first half, but unfortunately were unable to bag any goals.

Some fantastic stops, including a penalty save from Town’s Player of the Match, stand-in goalkeeper Chiara Donnelly, was a real plus point for the visitors.

Kayla Hargreaves put NFA in front in the 58th minute before Jones pocketed a late pair of goals on 81 and 88.
