GENERO ADRAN NORTH: Diamond girl Rubie hits first hat-trick in Felinheli triumph

GENERO ADRAN NORTH – SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8

CPDM Y Felinheli 4 (Davies 5, 33, 83, Evans 17)
Berriew 0
Young striker Rubie Davies produced the finest display of her senior football career so far as she plundered a first hat-trick for Felinheli in an emphatic victory over Berriew at Treborth Playing Fields.
Rubie, 18, daughter of former Bethesda Athletic goal machine Gareth Davies, replicated her dad’s finishing talents in Felin’s first win of 2026 which followed three successive draws.
The home side dominated the game from start to finish.
Davies opened the scoring after just five minutes, a great shot from outside the box which lobbed gloveswoman Sarah Parkes after the ball found the forward’s feet due to a bad clearance from the keeper.

Fantastic work by Katie Midwinter and Catrin Evans saw them link up well for the second goal on 17 minutes. Midwinter provided a back-heel assist, Evans finding the back of the net.
And it was 3-0 after 33, great work from Ellie Jones on the right wing saw her place a dangerous ball into the box and Davies made a great run to tap home.

Davies completed her treble in the 83rd minute, carrying the ball forward and dribbling into the box before applying another super finish.
Felin coach Llio Emyr said: “An all round, dominant display from Felin. Berriew never gave up. Very proud of the young Rubie Davies today taking her chance in the starting 11 and proving why she more than deserves a place in the 11. A confidence boosting performance that was needed.”
