Youngster Megan hits five as Caernarfon deliver six of the best

Caernarfon produced one of their best performances of the season on Sunday

Caernarfon Town 6 (M Williams 11, 16, 42, 51, 75; L Hughes 62)

Megan Williams continued the remarkable start to her senior football career by scoring five times in Sunday’s 6-1 romp at Henllan.

Aged just 16, the young forward made it nine goals in just three North Wales Coast League matches this season with her quintet at St Asaph Leisure Centre.

It was Caernarfon’s third league win of the season and lifted them to fifth place.

Having whipped Henllan 9-0 back in October at Treborth, the Cofis had every reason to feel confident about the return game.

The hosts had just 12 players on call, with two key regulars absent, while Caernarfon travelled with the bare 11 – but that was more than enough.

Williams struck first on 11 minutes from a Heledd Evans assist. Five minutes later, Jordan Roberts was the chance supplier for Williams to make it 2-0.

And the youngster completed a first-half treble when keeper Elena Julio helped set her up for number three.

Six minutes into the second half Williams struck again, Roberts providing her second assist.

Williams then turned assistant when she teed up Llinos Hughes for the fifth.

Henllan hit back on 68 through captain Lleucu Williams, Sophie Evans delivering the chance.

Megan Williams fittingly had the last word on 75 when she benefited from a Lois Young assist to score her fifth goal
