Pwllheli’s young star Jini Owen Hughes reaches major goals landmark!
One of the best young forwards in North Wales women’s football reached a special landmark today.
Jini Owen Hughes hit the 50 goals milestone for CPDM Pwllheli at the age of just 19.
Since making her senior debut at the start of 2023-24, Jini has averaged more than a goal a game – after today she has netted 51 in just 46 appearances.
And she made it to the big 50 in style, with a hat-trick in a 7-2 win at Caernarfon Town – the seventh treble of her senior career.
Jini’s talents developed through the Caernarfon Town junior system, playing in the same under-16 side as the likes of fellow goal machines Jess Jones and Amber Brown.
In 2021-22, Jini helped Caernarfon U16s reach the FAW Girls Cup semi-finals and lift the NWCFA U16 Girls Cup.
Since joining Pwllheli, she has won back-to-back North Wales League West titles, as well as the overall North Wales Champions crown twice, plus the Betty Pickering Cup.
