JD CYMRU PREMIER – FINAL RESULTS AND TABLE PHASE ONE

Caernarfon Town 2 Connah’s Quay Nomads 2

Nomads dropped their first points in nine matches but still picked up a commendable away draw to make it 14 unbeaten in the Cymru Premier and a clear second place finish at the end of Phase 1.

Callum Bratley handed the Nomads a second-minute lead, Rhys Hughes with the assist, but the Cofis were level on 25, Sion Bradley the chance supplier and Phil Mooney the scorer.

Hughes’ 12th league goal of the season, making him second-highest scorer, put John Disney’s men 2-1 up just before the hour, but Mooney’s second on 81 sealed fourth-place Caernarfon a point.

Flint Town United 0 Bala Town 4

Bala leapfrogged Flint out of the bottom three after an emphatic success at the Essity Stadium.

It was quite a night for Lakesiders new signing Cameron Ferguson, who scored twice against his old club, whom he had not found the net for at first team level this term.

Ferguson made the scoresheet on 39 and 44 after Lassana Mendes delivered the visitors a first-minute lead.

Hussein Mehasseb completed Flint’s misery by making it four on the hour.

The New Saints 1 Colwyn Bay 0

League top marksman Jordan Williams’ 21st goal of the season after just two minutes was enough to ensure champions Saints end phase 1 with a six-point lead over Nomads.

Bay knew even if they lost, a top six finish was still on the cards provided results elsewhere did not go cruelly against them.

Cardiff Met’s 1-1 draw at Penybont meant the Seagulls booked a place in the Championship Conference in just their second season as a Cymru Premier club.
