Caernarfon Town 1 (Hayes 55)
Connah’s Quay Nomads 2 (Wilde 75, Morris 90 pen)

A highly controversial added time penalty earned Cymru Premier champions Connah’s Quay Nomads a dramatic 2-1 win in a fiery encounter at Caernarfon Town where both teams finished with nine men..

Two minutes over the 90, Callum Morris’ theatrical tumble from what appeared to be minimal contact from Danny Brookwell led to referee Lee Evans pointing to the spot.

Morris dispatched the penalty to seal three points.

On the plus side for the Canaries, they produced arguably their finest performance of the season and thoroughly deserved to take a 55th minute lead when Mike Hayes finished clinically at the near post from a Sion Bradley cross.

Nomads looked to be running out of ideas before in the 75th minute a Brayden Shaw corner was nodded on by Aeron Edwards and Mike Wilde headed in from close range.

Then came the hotly disputed penalty which denied Town the point they at least deserved.

Both teams ended the match with nine men following a 90th minute scuffle involving numerous players after Paulo Mendes put in a firm midfield tackle.

Bradley and Noah Edwards of Caernarfon were dismissed, while Quay keeper Lewis Brass and defender Callum Roberts also saw red in a stormy ending.

Other Cymru Premier score: Cardiff Met University 1 (Ashton Ajibola-Gleed 77) Aberystwyth Town 1 (Marc Williams 55).
