Hat-tricks from Llion Griffiths and Ashley Owen ensured leaders Nantlle Vale made a stunning start to 2026 with a seven-goal show at Boded.
Owen appeared on the scoresheet for a seventh game in a row and made it 17 goals for the season, while Griffiths boosted his tally to 12, the pair producing devastating displays of finishing.
Vale led 5-1 at half time, Griffiths and Owen both delivering doubles, while James Bell also found the net, Chris Jones with Boded’s sole reply.
Tomos Williams gave the home side some hope when he made it 5-2 four minutes into the second half, but this was the Penygroes team’s day, Griffiths completing his treble after 51 before Owen did likewise with 73 gone.
A tough start to 2026 for Boded, but in fairness to them this was their first competitive game since November 8 – a nine-week break without action
What a way to begin the new year for Blaenau – a 5-0 triumph away to one of the division’s strongest sides.
The Quarrymen completed a double over Cemaes, having defeated the Anglesey side 2-1 at Cae Clyd back in August.
This was the second game in a row where Gerallt Michelmore’s team had scored five on the road – and they hit four in their previous away encounter.
It was quite a return to Blaenau for Owain Jones-Owen, who provided four goal assists during the afternoon.
The visitors led 3-0 at the break, Iwan Jones, Mabon Owen and Sion Roberts on the mark, Owain Jones-Owen setting up all three goals.
Six minutes into the second half Sion Roberts made it a double with his sixth goal in four matches and 12th of the campaign.
Mabon Owen rounded off the scoring on 74 minutes.
Substitute Steffan Toplis marked his debut for new club Nefyn with a magnificent second-half hat-trick at Eithin Duon.
Toplis joined the Penwaig in the week from Pwllheli, where he had netted 70 first team goals over the past six seasons, and announced his arrival in style by scoring at Llanrug on 59, 62 and 86 minutes.
Nefyn led 1-0 at half time courtesy of Tomi Evans’ 16th goal of the campaign for the third-placed side.
Playing their first match in six weeks, Llanystumdwy soon got into the groove with a 5-1 success over the bottom side.
Guto Gwenallt notched the only goal of the first half for the hosts, who after the break enjoyed further net-finders from Albert Nosakhare, Guto Griffith, Arwyn Jones and sub Morgan Edwards, Alan Owen with a consolation for Gwalch – his 10th goal of the season.
Eleven undefeated and 11 points clear at the summit – Aberffraw began the new year as they finished the old one.
While 5-2 suggests it was an emphatic win for Berffro, the game was perhaps closer than the scoreline indicates as Gaerwen put up a really good battling show.
Will Edwards netted twice in the first half for the hosts, but Gethin Hughes hit back to make it 2-1 at the interval.
Berffro moved clear after the restartl, Andy Clarke’s 48th minute penalty bringing him a 17th goal of the campaign before Dylan Williams soon made it 4-1.
Jay Finter responded for the Auctioneers on 76, but the table-toppers had the final word with a fifth goal via Connor Gordon after 81.
Kian Abbott’s 45th minute strike was enough to earn Pentraeth maximum points at Cae Dros yr Aber.
After going in level at 1-1 Town scored twice in the second half to record an uplifting victory over second-place Llangoed.
The Harbourmen took time to find their feet but almost took the lead when Craig Moore went close with a header from an Aneurin Saunderson cross.
Llangoed still looked dangerous and were creating chances without testing Steff Parry in the Town goal.
Moore again nearly broke the deadlock with a header from a Sion Jones cross which was well saved by Kane Briggs.
In the 32nd minute, Holyhead did open their account through Mike Edwards, who dribbled his way through a crowd to slot home at the near post following a corner.
Llangoed found themselves back on level terms when Llion Roberts hammered home at the back post.
In the second half Town started brightly and gained more control of the game. They could have taken the lead but Edwards’ free-kick was tipped over by Briggs.
Zack Haigh, Fes Osagie and Charlie Diamond were introduced for the hosts, making an instant impact.
Town got a second through Moore who found the net from six yards.
Holyhead then hit Llangoed with a counter attack when Osagie played in Haigh, who coolly chipped the keeper to make it 3-1.
Llangoed pushed to get back in the game but Town stood firm to start 2026 with a home win.
First-half goals from Ashley Davies and Ywain McQuire-Jones clinched a winning start to the year for Llanfairpwll.
The hosts had Davies dismissed for a second yellow card two minutes from time.
