NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION – JANUARY 10, 2026

Kinmel Bay 2 (J Jones 35, 49)
CPD Llansannan 1 (Molmans 19)

Jacob Jones’ 20th and 21st goals of the season ensured Kinmel Bay ended the unbeaten record of Premier Division leaders Llansannan at Y Morfa on Saturday afternoon.

Jones, 20, who has netted 11 times for the first team and 10 for the development side, proved once again his worth to the Premier title hopefuls.

Two sides which had not lost in the league this season went head-to-head, and it was the Bay who delivered a dominant display to claim all three points.

The visitors began brightly, looking to play direct and cause early problems, but Kinmel remained composed.

A crucial moment came on 19 minutes when Tom Seddon won possession and delivered a dangerous ball into the box, allowing Luke Molmans to finish clinically and give the away side the lead.

Bay settled and began to take control of the game by stretching Llansannan across the pitch. The pressure soon paid off when Anthony Jones picked out young prodigy Jacob Jones, who calmly found the net to level matters before half-time.

The second half started at a furious pace, with Kinmel Bay immediately on the front foot. Just four minutes after the restart, a superb delivery from Josh Parry found Jacob Jones once again, and the forward made no mistake in completing his brace in the 49th minute.

From there, it was a commanding performance from the Bay, who controlled proceedings for the remainder of the match and limited Llansannan’s chances.

Man of the Match honours went to James Hay, with standout performances also coming from Shane Evans, McKenzie Slaven, Liam Jones, captain Matty Beach and Sean Sheridan.

A complete team performance, a clean attacking display, and another strong statement from Kinmel Bay as the season continues to build momentum.
