Siân Moore of CPD Pwllheli is the Grassroots North Wales Women’s Footballer of the Year for 2025.

The 25-year-old defender turned attacking wide player had not scored for her team in four seasons before netting twice in a 4-0 NWCFA Challenge Cup win over Amlwch Town on October 27, 2024, a day which also saw the illustrious Katie Bowe grab a double.

However, since the turn of 2025, Siân has added 20 more goals to her total in a Pwllheli side crowned back-to-back North Wales League champions in 2024-25.

And while Pwllheli have not been their usual all-conquering selves this season to date, Siân has kept the goals flowing, hitting 11 in 11 appearances so far, including 10 in seven North Wales Coast League fixtures.

This year saw Siân pocket her first hat-trick in a Pwllheli shirt during a 12-0 league victory over Amlwch on April 9.

Greater things were to come, however, with Siân scoring FIVE in a single game in a 6-0 triumph at Denbigh Town on November 2.

This is an unconfirmed club record, with no notification as yet that any other Pwllheli player has ever netted five times in the same match.

The achievement also gave rise to a now relatively famous headline based on 1970s chart smash More More More by Andrea True Connection, a song young Siân is actually familiar with as her mother used to play it to her!

As well as her footballing skills, Siân is a superb athlete, having run the London Marathon for charity in 2025. She also takes part in various other runs and endurance events.

The Moores are quite a sporting family as Siân’s brothers, Chris and Iwan, are well-known local footballers and cricketers on the Llŷn Peninsula.
