DRAGON SIGNS FAW AMATEUR TROPHY ROUND FOUR – DECEMBER 20, 2025

Unstoppable Bangor City 1876 ended their 2025 schedule on a high note by making it 25 matches without defeat after a 3-0 Amateur Trophy success at Gwydir Park.

Michael Johnston’s side are now qualified for the quarter-finals of both national competitions, having also reached the last eight of the JD Welsh Cup last weekend.

Taking on a Llanrwst outfit they had already beaten twice this term, Bangor took an 11th minute lead in Saturday’s round four tie.

Louis Corrigan scored from this free kick for Bangor

Jamie Reed was fouled just outside the box and Louis Corrigan stepped up to send an outswinging left-foot free kick into the top-right corner.

It was Corrigan’s first goal in an 1876 shirt.

The visitors made it 2-0 on 36 minutes when veteran Reed converted from the penalty spot.

Midway through the second half, Reed was brought down in the box and again sent the keeper the wrong way with his penalty to make it 15 goals for the Citizens this season.
