The draw for the quarter-finals of the FAW Amateur Trophy is not expected until the new year.

The FAW confirmed today that January 7 is the expected date for when to decide who plays who in the last eight.

A spokesman said: “We’re expecting the Amateur Trophy QF draw to be on Wednesday 7 January, time TBC as logistics are still being planned around taking the draw live.”

Five North Wales clubs are guaranteed to be in the quarters following a successful last weekend for northern sides in the fourth round.

Llanrwst United and CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 are still to play their last 16 tie this Saturday.
