Current Adran Premier leaders Wrexham have landed a home draw against Briton Ferry Llansawel in the Genero Adran Trophy semi-finals.
Jenny Sugarman’s side, who eliminated Aberystwyth Town on penalties after a 2-2 draw on Sunday, have played Llansawel once in the league this season, recording a convincing 5-2 away victory.
In the other semi, holders The New Saints will host 2024 Trophy winners Cardiff City.
Sunday’s quarter-final at The Rock saw Wrexham look set to win in 90 minutes, only for Aber to equalise with practically the last kick of the game to force a shoot-out.
However, the Red Dragons were perfect from the spot – scoring all five spot-kicks, to triumph 5-4.
Wrexham twice hit the bar in the first half before Rosie Hughes’ eighth goal in four games broke the deadlock just after the restart.
Lily Moralee-Hughes levelled against the run of play, but Jodie Bartle’s fourth Wrexham goal looked to have sealed victory until Millie Gardner’s late, late leveller.
With the Red Dragons scoring all five penalties, however, while Imogen Scourfield hit the post for the visitors, Sugarman’s side claimed victory.
