NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE – REPORTS, NOVEMBER 15

Premier Division

Kinmel Bay 4 Llandudno Junction 4

Junction fought back from 4-1 down at half time to become the first team to take a point off Kinmel Bay this season.
An eight-goal classic at Go Goodwins Stadium had everyone talking after 90 thrilling minutes of top quality Tier 4 football.
Bay got off to a flyer, Ben Cawley providing the assist for Mason Richards to open the scoring in the first minute.
Jacob Jones maintained his fine form with the home team’s second on 22 minutes – a stunning overhead effort – and Cawley added a third after 33. Both the second and third goals came via Lewis Thompson assists.

In the competition to get the most players involved in a football match into one picture, this is a good contender. I counted 18. Picture: MATT JOHNSON – huge thanks Matt

Dave Maddock hit back for the Railwaymen with a 36th minute penalty, but Cawley made it 4-1 before the break, Jacob Jones the provider.
Junction’s remarkable fightback began eight minutes into the second half when Jack Williams set up Tomos Rhys-Williams for their second goal.
Mathew Jones cut the deficit to one after 67, then Rob Gore bagged a 90th minute equaliser to earn the third-place visitors a deserved point.

Llandudno Amateurs 1 CPD Llansannan 1

Lee Thomas rescued a point for the Amateurs with his sixth goal of the season 10 minutes frim time.
Leaders Llansannan took a 10th minute lead at Go Goodwins Stadium through Dafydd Aled Jones.
However, the home side restored parity with 80 on the clock when 44-year-old sub Glyn Bargate provided the assist and Thomas, a youngster of 42, found the net.

Division One

Prestatyn Sports 3 CPD Blue Bridge 1
Report: Prestatyn Sports

Ray Hibbs captures the action between Prestatyn Sports and Blue Bridge – THANKS A MILLION RAY

Second-place Sports fought off the strong challenge of visitors Blue Bridge to take maximum points at The Meadows.
The hosts exploded out of the blocks with an electric start. Barely two minutes had passed when Dylan Taylor burst into life, slicing through defenders with a stunning solo run before smashing home the opener. A moment of pure brilliance.
Blue Bridge refused to back down, carving out chances of their own, but every time they thought they had found a way through, they were met by the gloves of Danny Jones, who produced save after save to keep Sports firmly in control.
As the pressure mounted, Sports hunted for a second goal – and they found it just before the break. Taylor was involved again, this time his effort falling perfectly to Ashley Castle, who reacted instantly and hammered the ball home from close range.

The second half roared into life with Sports pushing to kill the game off, only to be denied by the inspired Blue Bridge keeper Luke McGuinness, who kept his team alive with a string of superb saves. And his heroics mattered, because in the 52nd minute, Blue Bridge struck back through Kyle Lally, pulling the score to 2-1 and suddenly turning the game tense.
But Sports weren’t done.
With fresh legs coming onto the pitch, the energy shifted – and when the moment came, super-sub David Zmiarowski delivered. Calm, composed, ruthless, he guided the ball beautifully into the back of the net to restore the two-goal cushion and slam the door shut on Blue Bridge’s comeback hopes.

Llandyrnog United 3 Rhuddlan Town 3

Three-apiece in a thriller between the third and fourth-place teams at Cae Nant.
These sides once met in the Clwyd Cup final in 1989-90. Llandyrnog won 3-1 and this writer worked for the newspaper local to Dyrny at that time.
Thirty-five years on, both teams are competing at the same level, now known as North Wales Coast East Division One.
Llandyrnog took a ninth-minute lead through Luke Appleby, but three goals in 11 minutes handed Rhuddlan a 3-1 lead .
Andy Booker scored on 12 and 19, while Riley Patterson also struck after 23.
Appleby made it six goals in four matches for United – and 13 for the season – when he pulled one back on 39.
After the excitement of the first half, just one goal was scored in the second, Alfie Harrison netting from the penalty spot on 59 minutes to secure a home draw.
