Prestatyn Sports 3 CPD Blue Bridge 1
Report: Prestatyn Sports

Second-place Sports fought off the strong challenge of visitors Blue Bridge to take maximum points at The Meadows.
The hosts exploded out of the blocks with an electric start. Barely two minutes had passed when Dylan Taylor burst into life, slicing through defenders with a stunning solo run before smashing home the opener. A moment of pure brilliance.
Blue Bridge refused to back down, carving out chances of their own, but every time they thought they had found a way through, they were met by the gloves of Danny Jones, who produced save after save to keep Sports firmly in control.
As the pressure mounted, Sports hunted for a second goal – and they found it just before the break. Taylor was involved again, this time his effort falling perfectly to Ashley Castle, who reacted instantly and hammered the ball home from close range.

The second half roared into life with Sports pushing to kill the game off, only to be denied by the inspired Blue Bridge keeper Luke McGuinness, who kept his team alive with a string of superb saves. And his heroics mattered, because in the 52nd minute, Blue Bridge struck back through Kyle Lally, pulling the score to 2-1 and suddenly turning the game tense.
But Sports weren’t done.
With fresh legs coming onto the pitch, the energy shifted – and when the moment came, super-sub David Zmiarowski delivered. Calm, composed, ruthless, he guided the ball beautifully into the back of the net to restore the two-goal cushion and slam the door shut on Blue Bridge’s comeback hopes.
Llandyrnog United 3 Rhuddlan Town 3
Three-apiece in a thriller between the third and fourth-place teams at Cae Nant.
These sides once met in the Clwyd Cup final in 1989-90. Llandyrnog won 3-1 and this writer worked for the newspaper local to Dyrny at that time.
Thirty-five years on, both teams are competing at the same level, now known as North Wales Coast East Division One.
Llandyrnog took a ninth-minute lead through Luke Appleby, but three goals in 11 minutes handed Rhuddlan a 3-1 lead .
Andy Booker scored on 12 and 19, while Riley Patterson also struck after 23.
Appleby made it six goals in four matches for United – and 13 for the season – when he pulled one back on 39.
After the excitement of the first half, just one goal was scored in the second, Alfie Harrison netting from the penalty spot on 59 minutes to secure a home draw.
