Three new signings have been added to the Flint Town United Ladies squad ahead of their massive Genero Adran Trophy last 16 tie away to Adran Premier League champions and Bute Energy Welsh Cup holders Cardiff City this Sunday.

Defenders Hana Eagles and Saskia Wynne-Thomas, plus goalkeeper Shaunacy Kennedy have all joined the Silkwomen.

Eagles was most recently with CPD Y Rhyl 1879, whose women’s team folded in the summer, and where she was latterly part of the management team, which included Kennedy as goalkeeper coach.

Wynne Thomas has spent most of her senior career with Rhyl, but had a brief stay with NFA this season.

Hana Eagles

Born on February 28, 1997, Hana has been playing football for about 20 years and her first club was Mold JFC – now known as Northop Hall.
As her skills developed, so did the quality of football she participated in. Hana played for LFC Foundation College when she turned 16 which was an eye-opening experience playing against some top players and having as coaches England stars Fara Williams and Natasha Dowie.

Hana playing for Airbus

Hana has spent the majority of her football career with Airbus UK Broughton. Her sister, Laura, was a midfield great for fellow Flintshire club Northop Hall.
At the start of 2022/23, Hana joined CPD Y Rhyl 1879, who had just won the North Wales League and been promoted to the Tier 2 Genero Adran North.
She spent three seasons with the Lilywhites, both as a player and latterly part of the coaching crew, before the team disbanded in summer 2025.
Now she has decided to give playing a go again at Flint, where her vast experience in the back-line can only benefit the Silkwomen.

Saskia Wynne Thomas

Born on October 14, 1999, Saskia started the season at NFA for whom she made three appearances, but now moves on to Flint.
Previously with Denbigh Town, Saskia also played for Rhyl Hearts, Kinmel Bay, Prestatyn U16’s and Prestatyn Ladies before joining the then newly-formed Rhyl 1879 at the start of the 2021-22 season.
She was part of an invincible team which won the North Wales League by a 10-point margin, going unbeaten in all 18 matches with 16 wins and two draws.

Rhyl scored an outstanding 118 goals and just as importantly only conceded 13 in 18 matches, Saskia generally starring as a right-back.
The dental nurse made 19 appearances in all that 2021-22 season and went on to represent 1879 for the next three campaigns in the Tier 2 Adran North League.
In all, Saskia played in 64 matches for the Lilywhites, and would have clocked up quite a few more had she not missed the first five months of 2024-25 through injury. Class defender, good on the ball.

Shaunacy Kennedy

She’s from Liverpool and is a goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach. Now she has added her experience to Flint Town United’s squad.
Kennedy played a season for Airbus UK Broughton in the Adran North in 2021-22 and was also with the Wingmakers in the shortened 2019-20 campaign, having signed from Merseyrail Bootle Ladies.
