CPD Blue Bridge top goalscorer Jonny Mee has signed for North East Wales League club CPD Gronant.

Rhyl-based Blue Bridge announced the 32-year-old’s departure this week.

Skipper Mee scored Bridge’s first-ever goals in a competitive game at the start of the 2024-25 season.

He netted 9 times last term and had added 7 to his total in the current campaign, Mee bagged 14 for the first team and two for the Development side.

Although the club have found the going tough in their first two seasons in North Wales Coast West Division One, Mee has proved to be a very consistent marksman and inspirational leader.

Mee has represented a number of clubs in his career, including Kinmel Bay, Rhyl Dragons, Rhyl Albion, Glan Conwy at Tier 4, Prestatyn Wanderers and Bow FC before becoming part of newly-founded Blue Bridge in 2024.

Blue Bridge said an emotional farewell to the versatile performer on social media: “It’s with great sadness that we announce the departure of Jonny Mee from CPD Blue Bridge.

“Jonny has been a massive part of the club since its very beginning, playing a key role both on and off the pitch in helping to establish and grow the team.

“As our top goal scorer and captain during our first season, his leadership, dedication and passion have been invaluable.

“Beyond his footballing achievements, Jonny has been a dear friend to many within the squad, and his presence will be greatly missed by everyone at the club.

“Jonny leaves by mutual agreement, and while we’re saddened to see him go, we wish him nothing but the very best in his next journey both on and off the field.

£Thanks for the memories 💙

Goodbye Mr. Versatile 🦖

CPD Gronant reformed this season and play in Division 3 of the newly-restructured North East Wales League.
